Uwell - Crown 2 Tank
The Crown Sub-Ohm Tank 2 by Uwell is newly improved version of the ever so popular Uwell Crown; made with the same good quality construction, improved design and a larger tank for those on-the-go cloud chasers!
The Uwell Crown 2 Tank features a large 5mL e-liquid capacity, encumbered by a quartz glass tank and all while being 24mm in diameter stainless steel construction. Identifying authenticity is not a problem, since the well known Uwell brand deeply engraved on the side and the laser etched branding on the base. This tank also features a dual adjustable airflow ring, one on the top cap and the other on the base of the tank, so users can customize their vaping experience to their own preference.
Uwell has redesigned their coil Crown coils to be more efficient and have a longer lifespan. The tank also offers the ability to use SUS316L (0.25ohm and 0.5ohm) and Kanthal (0.8ohm) atomizer heads.
Features and Specs:
This is the first Uwell product I have bought, and bought for the anti-leaking promise from the company. I have always used Aspire tanks and have been please with the pyrex glass that holds up very well with the many times I drop my equipment and they have always lasted without leaking for about 4-5 months. So thought that this new Uwell tank I won\'t have any leaking issues which saves juice leaking all over my purse. Well this tank doesn\'t live up to what Uwell claims, it leaks and franky pisses me off. Plus this tank seems overly confusing with all the o-rings and tanking apart and putting back together after being cleaned. I can\'t get much flavor from this, unsure if I need to try all 3 different coils for a full flavor vape? It\'s a nice looking tank, and came with many extras which was nice. I will continue to use this and search for help to stop the leaking, but if I can\'t get the leaking to stop I will have to buy a new Aspire tank.
Having been a massive proponent of the original Crown, I decided to give the new one a shot. Honestly, it is hands down better than it\'s predecessor in a bunch of ways!
First, leakage. The original Crown definitely had a major issue with leakage even after replacing seals (and a variety of other options I found online), it still leaked. The new tank does leak a bit, but only if you overfill it (you can only put juice up to about the 85% level).
Second, the coils. Yes, I\'ve heard there were MAJOR issues with the original coils that the II shipped with, but they have released a 2nd version, with NONE of the same issues. These are the coils that Vape29 is shipping with (as well as the additional coils you purchase)
Because I vape heavily, I was honestly finding with the original coils that I would be replacing them about every 2 or 3 days max. It was very frustrating (not to mention expensive).
These new 2nd gen coils from Crown probably give me at least twice as long (maybe more), which is amazing!
Plus, there\'s the locking top screw which helps dramatically when you\'re unscrewing the top cap to fill. No worries about unscrewing the entire tank (which happened on more than one occasion causing a loss of juice and a big mess).
Overall, I would give the original, even with it\'s flaws, a 4 1/2 stars for flavour and vapour production. The new tank definitely deserves 5+ stars! It has all the best of the original with respect to flavour and vapour production, as well as what the points I made.
